Curated Wine Flights
Three-and five-pour flights grouped by region or grape, guided by tasting notes our staff writes fresh each week.
Pour. Linger. Return.
Velvet Cork is a small, candlelit wine bar tucked into Napa's Oak Knoll corridor, pouring hand-picked flights and Valley favorites alongside shareable plates built for slow, unhurried evenings.
Velvet Cork opened its doors on a quiet stretch of Oak Knoll Avenue with one simple idea: Napa Valley wine deserves an unhurried room to be enjoyed in. No tasting-room lines, no rush between pours — just low light, reclaimed-oak tables, and a list built glass by glass around the vineyards a few miles from our door.
Every flight is poured by hand and every plate is sized to share, because we believe the best part of a wine bar isn’t the wine alone — it’s the conversation that stretches a single glass into a whole evening. Whether you’re marking an anniversary, catching up with old friends, or simply escaping a Tuesday, there’s a corner of Velvet Cork waiting for you.
From guided flights to late-night acoustic sets, every detail at Velvet Cork is built around lingering a little longer.

A rotating by-the-glass list drawn almost entirely from vineyards within thirty minutes of our door.
Boards and bites built to match the glass in front of you — from marcona almonds to slow-roasted lamb.
Thursday through Saturday, local musicians play low and close from a corner stage — never loud enough to talk over.
A ten-seat back room for anniversaries, showers, and small gatherings, hosted with a dedicated pour list.
A hand-written short list our sommelier updates weekly — the bottles we’re personally excited about pouring.
We came in for one glass before dinner and stayed for three. The staff walked us through a flight we never would have picked ourselves — every pour landed.
— Anniversary Guests, Napa
The private tasting room made my mother’s seventieth feel like it was built just for us. Warm, quiet, and the small plates disappeared fast.
— Local Regular, Oak Knoll
Best acoustic Thursday in Napa, hands down. Close enough to hear every note, far enough to still talk between songs.
— Visiting from Sonoma
Tables move quickly on weekends and every Thursday acoustic night. Save yours before the room fills in.
Velvet Cork sits just off the Oak Knoll wine corridor, a short drive from downtown Napa and an easy stop between tasting-room appointments. Street parking lines the block, with additional spaces behind the building after 5 p.m.
